Building a wedding feast, course by course
Swagat Events & Caterers · 4 min read
A great feast isn’t just a long list of dishes — it’s a sequence that carries your guests from arrival to farewell without a dull moment or a heavy one. Here’s how we think about composing a wedding menu, and how our packages are built to make the choosing easy.
Begin with a welcome
The first thing a guest tastes sets the tone. A welcome drink and a light starter say you were expected — the literal meaning of swagat. Keep this course refreshing; the richer food comes later.
Build the middle with contrast
The heart of the meal should balance textures and flavours: something creamy against something crisp, a mild curry beside a spiced one, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes given equal care. The goal is variety without excess — a plate a guest is glad to return to, not one they can’t finish.
End on a sweet note
Dessert is the memory guests carry home. Whether it’s a traditional sweet or a live counter, the closing course should feel generous and celebratory.
Three packages, one philosophy
Rather than start from a blank page, we offer three tiers:
- Regular — the essential Swagat spread, crowd-pleasing and complete.
- Classic — a broader selection with more choice at every course.
- Golden — our fullest experience, for celebrations that spare nothing.
Each is a starting point, not a straitjacket. On our catering menu you can pick a package and then curate each course to taste, watching your selections tally as you go. When it feels right, send it to us and we’ll turn it into a quote.
